Vacation Washington

Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America. It is located next to the river Potomac and named after the first president of the USA, George Washington. The letters DC stand for District of Colombia. Washington DC has many sights to offer! Check out the White House, the Pentagon, the Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial. The Mall is a carfree zone where you can check out most buildings. There are many museums in Washington DC. Famous all over the world is the National Air and Space Museum and of course the dinosaur skeletons in the National Museum of Natural History are worth the visit as well. Take a boattrip over the Potomac and visit the waterfalls in the Great Falls National Park. In the Rock Creek Park you can take a walk or relax a bit!
